Highlight of the annual presentation of the foals was the presentation of the first crop by the premium stallion and reservist winner of OS Chap II ( Cellestial/ Contender) who did finish his 30 day test with superior scores in jumping.
Showed at hand by his owner, rider and trainer Johannes Holzeder the stallion presented himself modern, very beautiful and with great charisma, athletic presentation and very good movements. The performance of this stallion ridden at the stallion presentation at Malching in April 2014 did impress the spectators, and the older brother Chap I did a wonderful performance at the German championship ridden by his owner and breeder Heiko Schmidt. Chap II was one of the most frequented young stallions in southern Germany during the 2013, also being frequented in other regions of Germany.

Celebrated at the 17th of june on a sunny summer day the Holzeder stud in Malching had the foal selection for the premium by the bavarian breeders association. Though the birth rates are declining: the commission consisting of the breeding manager Cornelia Back, the chairman Hubert Berger and Helga Unverdorben had a good days work at Malching with the evaluation of the foals.
4 divisions of foals with very different genetics were presented, and nearly all did get a golden award, which shows the high quality work of our breeders and the outstanding quality of the offspring. The division winners were by Stedinger – Alabaster (B.: Neukirchinger), Dante Weltino – Silvio I (B: Kelberger), Cachassini – Cordobes I (B: Leymüller), Clearline Z – Cassiano (B: Feigl) and For Romance - Fidertanz (B: Winklmaier).
Chap II `s erster Jahrgang zeigte sich ganz deutlich vom Vater geprägt; moderne, elastische und sportiv auftretende Fohlen aus durchwegs interessanten Müttern kamen zur Vorstellung.
Gleich 4 (!) davon schafften den Sprung in den Endring, wobei die Komission zwei besonders sportbetont gezogene Fohlen an die Spitze stellte:
bei den Stutfohlen mit der Chap II – Alvarez – Tochter (Z.: Steindorfer) eine Halbschwester des int. 5* Springpferdes Isco de Amoranda (M.McAuley, IRL)
bei den Hengsfohlen einen Chap II – Lauriston – Sohn (Z.: Holzeder), dessen Mutter unter dem Züchter bis 5 * Springen international erfolgreich eingesetzt war.
Der positive Eindruck des Jahrganges spiegelte sich auch in der Besprechung durch die Zuchtleiterin Cornelia Back wieder.
Mit grosser Spannung darf man nun auf die sportliche Entwicklung des Vaters und die der Nachzucht später unter dem Sattel sein.
